SAW is a celebration of local creativity with opportunities for emerging artists, as well as professionals, to showcase their work. It promotes a sense of community by encouraging local people to enhance their environment and make their own art. Features of the Art Week include Art in shop windows, the Secret Garden Craft Fair, Open Studios, Exhibitions, Workshops & Demonstrations, Talks & Film, Music and opportunities for involvement by local people. SAW is entirely run by a dedicated team of volunteers and artists with the support of local businesses and City Councillors.
